Move Out Make Overs - Refund Policy for All-in-One Bundled Services

 

Move Out Make Overs 'MOMO' ("we," "us," or "our") is a sole trader business in Queensland, Australia, providing end-of-lease cleaning, cosmetic wall touch-up painting, and minor cosmetic repair services exclusively to real estate companies in South Brisbane, Logan, and nearby suburbs.

 

We are committed to delivering high-quality services that meet end-of-lease standards in compliance with Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) regulations, keeping all billing under $3,300 per job and limiting painting to cosmetic touch-ups only, as per QBCC guidelines for unlicensed contractors.

 

We stand behind our work with a 100% bond-back guarantee, ensuring your properties are inspection-ready. However, we do not offer monetary refunds for completed services. Instead, we provide rework options for disputed areas or deferral of service dates where appropriate, as outlined below.This policy complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and Queensland’s Fair Trading Act 1989 (Qld), which include non-excludable guarantees for services provided with due care and skill. If our services fail to meet these guarantees (e.g., due to a major fault), you may be entitled to remedies such as rework, deferral, or, in limited cases, a refund as required by law.

1. No Monetary Refunds for Completed Services.

We do not provide cash refunds, credits, or reimbursements for services that have been fully or partially completed.

 

All payments are final upon booking confirmation and service commencement. This includes upfront payments made via our online booking system at www.move-out-makeovers.com or additional invoiced amounts.

2. Rework for Disputed Areas

If you identify any areas of dispute related to our services (e.g., incomplete bond cleaning, unsatisfactory cosmetic touch-ups, or minor repair issues), we will address them through rework at no additional cost:

  • Notify us within 3 days of service completion via the online contact form at www.move-out-makeovers.com, providing details and evidence (e.g., photos or inspection reports).

  • We will inspect and rework the disputed areas within a reasonable timeframe (typically 3–5 business days), subject to property access and no additional damage caused by others.

  • This aligns with our 100% bond-back guarantee: If a real estate inspection highlights issues within our scope (e.g., bond cleaning, cosmetic wall touch-ups up to 20–40 sqm, pest treatment, carpet steam cleaning), we will rectify them free of charge to support bond refund processes.

Rework is limited to the original service scope (e.g., deep oven cleaning, bathroom detailing, blind dusting, skirting wipe-downs, patio/garage floor washing, minor wall repairs, or key return services) and does not cover new or unrelated issues.

 

3. Deferral of Service Dates

If circumstances prevent service delivery on the scheduled date (e.g., due to access issues, weather, or mutual agreement), we offer deferral to a new date:

  • Requests for deferral must be made at least 48 hours in advance via the online contact form at www.move-out-makeovers.com/contact.

  • We will reschedule at no extra cost, subject to availability, including our weekend slots (Saturdays, Sundays 7am–7pm).

  • If we initiate the deferral (e.g., due to unforeseen events), you will receive priority rescheduling.

  • No refunds apply for deferrals; payments remain valid for the rescheduled service.

4. Cancellations

  • Pre-Service Cancellations: If you cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled start, we will defer the service or, at our discretion, issue a credit for future use (no cash refund). Within 48 hours, a 25% fee applies, with the remainder credited or deferred.

  • No-Shows or Post-Commencement Cancellations: No refunds, credits, or deferrals; full payment is retained.

5. Legal Rights Under Australian Law

Nothing in this policy excludes your rights under the ACL or Queensland laws. If our services have a major failure (e.g., not fit for purpose or unsafe), you may be entitled to a refund, compensation, or other remedies. Minor issues will be addressed via rework as described above.For disputes, contact us first via the online contact form at www.move-out-makeovers.com/contact.

 

If unresolved, you may escalate to the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

 

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on our website at www.move-out-makeovers.com with the effective date.
